Paris Terror Attacks - The pain in our hearts

Paris Terror Attacks has once again reminded us of the devastating effects of terrorism. The news hit us all like a hypodermic needle. We all screamed; we all tore our robes; we all wept.

The whole world stood still as casualties increased. I couldn't contain my tears as I watched the families of those affected on CNN and the BBC. It truly was a moment of sorrow. No news ever shook the world in recent years like this one.

The whole world sympathize with the families of those affected by this monumental tragedy and hopes those responsible are brought to book soon.

Celebrities and important personalities around the world are not left out. Here are some of their messages for France.

Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode "Whether the strike is within the city, via plane hijack or in traffic, terrorists speak the same language of force, violence and suppression.
We commiserate with the French Government over last Friday's terror attacks in Paris which killed over 120 people" As if that wasn't enough he went on to say:

“On behalf of the government and good people of Lagos State, I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to your good self, the French government and the entire French citizens over last Friday’s terror attacks in Paris. The dastardly act was no doubt an attack on the civilised world and humanity and we share in your grief. Whether the strike is within the city, through plane hijack or in traffic, terrorists speak the same language of force, violence and suppression. But the civilised world should not only resist terror, we must defeat it by every means possible. And this is why the whole world is standing behind France at these trying times to say no to terror and every form of extremism,”

Barrack Obama, "This is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share. We stand prepared and ready to provide whatever assistance the people of France need to respond.”

Justin Bieber added, “Had a great first show but just heard about what happened in Paris. Thoughts and prayers with everyone #PrayForParis”

These were just a few of the flood of responses that hit the air soon after the attack. The world is still grieving and the best time to act is now.

This is not the first, but this can be the last. Let us stand up and condemn terrorism. Let us fight and make terrorism a story of the past. Let us say NO to acts of terrorism, and let us do so now.
